Description
Cagrilintide is a synthetic analogue of amylin, a 37-residue peptide of the calcitonin family. Its chain is built on pramlintide, with the helix-stabilising substitutions N14E and V17R (added to counter amyloid fibril formation) and an amidated proline at position 37; Cys2 and Cys7 form a disulfide bridge. The N-terminal lysine carries an L-γ-glutamyl linker acylated with eicosanedioic acid (a C20 dicarboxylic acid). PubChem lists it as CAS 1415456-99-3, C194H312N54O59S2, 4409 g/mol.
It is studied as a non-selective agonist at the amylin receptors (the calcitonin receptor paired with RAMP1, RAMP2 or RAMP3) and at the calcitonin receptor itself; see retatrutide vs cagrilintide.
Cagrilintide 10mg is the only vial size, a sealed vial of lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
On arrival, refrigerate sealed vials at 2–8 °C, or freeze them at −20 °C for longer storage; keep them dry and away from light, and avoid repeated freezing and thawing. For laboratory research use only; not for use in humans or animals.
