Epithalon
Synthetic pineal tetrapeptide (AEDG) studied for telomerase activity and cellular aging.
Description
Epithalon (also spelled Epitalon, sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly / AEDG) is a synthetic tetrapeptide modeled on epithalamin, a peptide complex originally derived from the pineal gland. First developed in Russia by Vladimir Khavinson's group, it has been studied for over two decades using in vitro, in vivo, and in silico methods.
In published research it has been investigated for effects on telomerase activity, telomere length, melatonin regulation, and geroprotective and antioxidant pathways across cell and animal models.
Supplied as a lyophilized powder for laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption.
